With a global career spanning more than two decades, tours in over 120 countries, and dozens of multi-platinum hits, Sean Paul is undoubtedly one of the brightest stars to emerge from Jamaica onto the world stage. Fourteen years after his first encounter with the Bulgarian audience, he returns with a massive production show that will transport fans to the heart of the Caribbean rhythm.
Sean Paul Henriques, to use the artist's full name, was born in Kingston in 1973. By the age of 24, the whole world learned his name through the hit track "Infiltrate," and Paul propelled Jamaican music up the charts. However, Sean Paul's big break came in 2000 with the release of his debut album Stage One, which featured hit songs like "Deport Them," "No Bligh," and "Hot Gal Today," a collaboration with Mr. Vegas. Sean became the best-selling artist for the New York-based VP Records, paving the way for Jamaican producers to enter the global market. A curious moment from the late 90s is when Sean Paul and Mr. Vegas filmed cameo roles in the movie Belly (1998) by American director and producer Hype Williams. Together with DMX, they created the soundtrack for the film, which pushed Sean Paul beyond the boundaries of Jamaican music.
